The twins (Emmerson and Emily) are fitting into our family nicely. The eat with us, they go to bed on-time, they spend a lot of time going on "errands" around the house, they are very quiet, good babies and sleep through the night. Reid loves the double stroller and having her Dad help her change the clothes.
Below is a picture of Reid in her new Christmas pj's and Emmerson and Emily in their matching pjs. Is the double stroller not the cutest thing! It folds up just like a regular stroller and Reid likes to have us fold it, unfold it, fold it again, etc. Oh, and the girls have had their first hair cut. We are not sure which one or where exactly she cut, but we found scissors and a pile of hair. Not a good thing for Reid.

The kids are home this week because of Fall Break. We went and did flu shots yesterday and today Jackson is running a fever, runny nose, cough. We were supposed to go to Lincoln, this weekend, to visit the Drennons, but between Jackson's cooties and the Drennon's kids coming down with something, we decided not to go. Damon will just have to paint around us!
Since we were homebound today, I broke out the mixer and put it through it's yearly Roberta's Pumpkin Cookie paces. This is a huge recipe, I make it once a year because it makes so many and takes a full afternoon (even with two ovens). They are delicious and they remind me of my Mom. They say food is love and my mother, even though she wasn't a really good cook, loved us through food. She always made sure we had things we liked, and she did it with a generous, loving spirit I hope to pass on to my kids.

We are off to gymnastics tonight and, probably, a laid back weekend at home. I am going to finish covering scrapbook albums and start prepping for a crop next weekend. Damon is going to finish painting the hallway and doors.

yummy! I want some of those cookies!!
ReplyDeleteCute pjs on Reid and the "kids". That is so funny about the first haircut...wonder where the cut happened?
So what did you mean on FB yesterday...is everything alright?
Could you post that recipe for me?
